God Is Good, All the Time

Readings 060126

“God is good.”
          “All the time.”
“All the time.”
          “God is good.”

What began in African‑American Protestant churches
has become a joyful refrain in Catholic parishes everywhere—
because it proclaims a truth that never shifts:
God’s goodness is constant.
Steady.
Unbroken.
Grace that does not fail.

God has given us everything—
His grace, His promises, His protection,
His own beloved Son.
Divine generosity is not an idea;
it is a gift poured into the human heart
like peace in the morning
and strength in the quiet places of our lives.

And because God gives everything,
the human heart must respond.
God is faithful;
we must be faithful.
God offers divine life;
we must not reject it.

Grace does not wait on a distant horizon.
It comes in the echo of a whisper—
in small mercies,
hidden moments,
silent invitations of love.

Our relationship with God
is the very essence of grace.
Scripture says,
“May grace and peace be yours in abundance
through knowledge of God
and of Jesus our Lord.”
If God pours out abundance,
then we cannot remain the same.

Even rejection cannot stop Him.
“The stone the builders rejected
has become the cornerstone.”
Nothing can overturn His plan to save.

So today we ask for the grace
to trust Him,
to grow in virtue,
to welcome the One who comes to save us—
and to let our lives
give glory to God.

Prayer

Lord Jesus,
let Your grace rise in me like morning light.
Steady my heart with Your faithful love.
Shape my thoughts with quiet mercy.
Draw me toward every whisper of Your presence.
And let my life give glory to God. Amen
