Entrusted to Share

Readings 102126

Have you ever been given
a precious gift or responsibility
and realized,
"I can't just keep this to myself"?

That's often how God reveals Himself to me.

Sometimes, in the ordinary moments of life.
Looking back on my younger days,
I can see times God was speaking,
even though I didn't recognize it then.

Sometimes, in my grandchildren's
simple yet profound observations
as they share their truths
about God and His wonders.

Other times, in the love I witness
in community,
in worship,
and in everyday acts of kindness.

And each time,
I knew I couldn't keep it to myself.

Paul understood this.
God entrusted him with the great mystery
that all people are coheirs in Christ.
That gift was not meant to be hidden
or hoarded.
His stewardship was to share
the riches of Christ generously.

Jesus teaches the same truth.
A faithful steward
distributes nourishment at the proper time
and lives according to the Master's will.
"Much will be required
of the person entrusted with much."

The Gospel is not only preached with words.
It is proclaimed
in how we live,
in how we love one another,
in the mercy we extend,
and in the forgiveness we offer.

God has entrusted each of us
with spiritual riches.
Our calling is to share them freely,
so that others may come to know
the love of Christ through us.

Prayer

Lord,

open my eyes to see You

in the ordinary moments of life.
Help me recognize the gifts and truths

You place before me each day.
Teach me to share Your love

through mercy, kindness, and forgiveness.
May my life proclaim the riches of Christ

to all I meet.

Amen.
