When Good News Climbs the Mountain

Readings 080726

Good news has a way of lifting us—

raising the heart,

steadying the breath,

like climbing a mountain made of your own emotions.

It rises.

It advances.

It comes toward you with purpose.

And despite what the world may say today,

good news still arrives.

A wedding on the horizon—

two lives weaving into one.

A child soon to be born—

new breath, new hope, new joy.

A new job—

fresh purpose, fresh direction.

These are reminders that God has not forgotten His people.

Because even when life feels like Nineveh—

chaotic, loud, broken—

God is already restoring the vine,

already healing the tendrils,

already lifting His people

from ruin into renewal.

Jesus tells us:

Whoever loses his life for My sake will find it.

And sometimes that “losing”

is simply letting go of fear

so we can receive the gift He is sending.

That is the greatest good news—

good news meant for the world,

and good news meant for you.

So today,

let the good news advance toward you.

Let it climb your mountains.

Let it speak peace into your home,

your family,

your future.

For the Kingdom is near,

and the God who restores

is still bringing life

where life is needed most.

Prayer

Lord,

let Your good news rise within us.

Lift our hearts above fear and doubt.

Restore what has been broken

and renew what has been weary.

Speak peace into our homes and our future.

Let Your Kingdom draw near in Your blessings.

Amen
